So what does a Sales Ops Manager do then? Well, if you are one then you know! If not, well here is a short explanation: A sales operations managers plays a crucial role in making sure that sales teams have a smooth ride from start to end in the sales process and can crack on closing the big deals!

In this position, you are responsible for much of the hands on work in Salesforce (our weapon of choice in terms of CRM) and are acting to optimize our sales processes in order to be a great support to the sales organisation, freeing them from a headaches, frustration and freeing time to give them more time to focus on what they do best – sell.

In the position as Sales Operations Manager you will continuously analyse the sales process, scrummaging for areas of improvements and are always aiming to make the sales machine go faster. Ultimately, your job is to increase sales productivity by simplifying processes and implementing new tools.

You like to collaborate with sponsors from marketing, sales, product, and customer success to better sales performance and company strategy. Your in-the-field information and recommendations arm management and the organisation with the right information at the right time to surpass goals.

Beyond this, you will be an important player when creating and maintaining documentation on sales processes, assisting with on-boarding new sales reps, and optimizing lead qualification and scoring.

So, who are you?

You are detail and process-oriented, consultative, and always up to evaluate and test new ideas. The kind of person who is a quick study of a team’s performance, processes, and opportunities. You understand B2B sales challenges and complex buyer journeys in diverse industries. You “get” cloud-based technologies and how to build successful sales plays and processes that communicate the value of SaaS offerings. Previous sales experience buys you credibility with tenured sales professionals and senior management.

Expectation on the right person for the job:

  • 2+ years of sales operations experience
  • Full life-cycle consultative sales experience, from first call to close, including technical demonstrations and independently leading needs analysis workshops with prospects
  • History of consistently achieving or exceeding sales KPIs
  • Experience developing sales trainings and curriculum
  • Proficiency in improving use of Salesforce
  • Project management experience (and related technology experience) strongly desired
  • Experience with various sales methodologies strongly desired
  • User experience from sales enablement software
