Senior Full Stack Developer to Mynewsdesk
Help us develop the market leading PR platform in the Nordics
Are you a full stack developer with a passion for web technologies and love to build smart, robust and high-quality solutions that reaches thousands of users and customers every day?
We are looking for a full stack developer to help us develop the market leading PR platform in the Nordics, with the vision "Building awareness and relations today, creating a positive impact on the society of tomorrow".
What is it like to work at Mynewsdesk?
Mynewsdesk is an international workplace with around 15 developers of diverse expertise split into different teams. The teams collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and test engineers to drive innovation and success. We promote a challenger culture where individuals and teams are encouraged to think outside the box.
We believe that you perform at your best when working on tasks that are both fun and challenging. To support this, we have separated working tracks led by a product manager and teams guided by a technical engineering manager. You have the flexibility to choose and switch between different tracks or avoid a track entirely if you prefer to focus on a specific technical project.
Our stack
Our tech stack is built mainly with Ruby on Rails in the backend, React in the frontend and GraphQL in between.
We use various big data services to process our customers data and the media landscape around us, to allow a truly data driven PR workflow. For collaborating effectively, we are using many of the standard tools such as Github, Jira, Slack and G-Suite.
What will you do?
- Design our GraphQL schema and implement the resolvers in Ruby-on-rails.
- Develop backend code in Ruby and Node.js, integrating with various databases and services, including Clickhouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and OpenAI.
- Help out with the development of our React components.
- Be a part of a team of experienced developers collaborating closely with designers and product leads.
- Review and improve our continuous integration setup and deployment of our solutions.
- Coach other developers and help the team grow and develop in their role.
- Contribute to discussions and implementation of improving our platform to handle the future requirements of our users.
Who are you?
- You are a developer who can work with React, GraphQL and Rails.
- You have solid experience with Ruby on Rails and a strong track record in developing and maintaining RoR codebases.
- You’re proud of the work that you do and you know how to balance quality and delivery.
- You enjoy working in an agile environment and being responsible for the technical design, implementation, maintenance and testing of software.
- You are an active and driving participant during discoveries and plannings.
- You have a passion for product development and you get satisfaction from seeing your solutions deployed to production fast.
- You are fluent in English and Swedish.
